Sun Oct 21 home Newcastle Jets win 2 1 Own goal, R Krishna Crowd over 9000 in Wellington, debuts for keeper Kurto, Steven Taylor, Mandi, David Williams, with Mitch Nicholls and Max Burgess coming on as subs. VAR disallowed Singh's goal, ref booking him for delib handball was a joke. VAR then gave us a penalty.
Sun Oct 28 away Brisbane Roar draw 0 0   Taylor missed a tap in, hitting post after 5 min. Doyle immense at the back. Roy getting blocked off on his runs.
Sat Nov 3 home Western Sydney loss 0 3   Nasty conditions. WSW stronger than us. Sub Burns hit the bar with a late header
Fri Nov 9 away Melbourne City loss 0 2   City scored a couple of great goals. Nix have a penalty shout turned down. Tom Doyle knocks out one of the hundreds of seagulls with a clearance. He then carries it off the field tenderly. Kurto very good in goal.
Sat Nov 24 home Adelaide Utd loss 1 3 Mandi Led for 40 minutes. Own goal by Tom Doyle, then another goal straight after the break, then another oggie by Doyle. Best skill, the 4th official controlling a high clearance on the sideline with one touch.
Sun Dec 2 home Perth Glory draw 1 1 Krishna Keeper Kurto injured in first half, Sail on. Excellent first half, dominated the league leaders, Burns and Krishna working together very well, Roy scored left foot. Ryan Lowry sent on to man mark Castro, sent off soon after when VAR harshly decided it was a bad tackle. Lots of anger about it.
Sat Dec 8 away Sydney FC win 3 1 Krishna 2, S. Taylor Great performance, led 3 - 0 half time. Singh thru ball, Roy scores, Mandi through ball Roy scores, Cacace cross, Taylor powerful header. Sydney late consolation. Kopa doing well in defence. Taylor fired up... roar!
Sat Dec 15 home Central Coast Mrnr win 2 0 L. Fenton, S. Singh Mandi shot, Louis scores from the keeper parry, Cacace ball to Roy who squares for Sarpreet to roll in. Mandi better and better in midfield, apart from play acting rolling around holding his face. Only 7000 disappointing.
Sat Dec 22 home Brisbane Roar win 4 1 o.g., D. Williams, Krishna (pen), Singh Terrific second half, Singh running the midfield, two assists and a free kick through a 'wall' that parted! David Williams made impact when he came on with 30 to go. Yellow Fever in full voice.
Fri Dec 28 away Melbourne Victory draw 1 1 Williams Top quality game. Nice Williams cut back in and curl into the far corner goal. Durante excellent.
Sat Jan 5 away Adelaide Utd draw 0 0   Mandi sent off for kicking Vinnie Lia. Suspended 2 games. Great team resolve to fight for the draw. Kurto exc in goal
Tues Jan 8 away Western Sydney win 3 2 Fenton, Krishna (2) 3 games in a week. Lovely ball from Singh, chested, goal Louis. WSW reply from corner. Cillian Sheridan debut, thru ball for Roy to round the keeper and slot from difficult angle past 2 defenders. WSW reply from corner. Late winner. Subs Burgess and Sheridan combine for Roy to score great near post header.
Sat Jan 12 home Central Coast Mrnr win 3 2 Krishna (2 pens), Williams Both starting centre mids suspended (Mandi and Rufer). CCM started well, led 2 - 0 at half time. Red card and two penalties brought the Nix even. Lucky! Then Williams winner. Sheridan half time sub made a difference again. Durante's 300th A League game, the most of any player in the league history. Crowd of 10,000 - lucky draw saw one punter win $30,000. Pitch invader. Smoke bombs let off by the club.
Mitch Nicholls released by club after being subbed off at half time.
Sun Jan 20 away Melbourne Victory draw 3 3 Wiliams, Krishna 2 (1 pen) After Victory took the early lead, we blew them away in the first half to lead 3 - 1 at half time. Fenton cross buried at near post by Willow. Roy won a pen and converted it. Keeper parried a Williams shot and Roy put away the rebound. Kosta scored a late equaliser for Victory. Great game. Rufer excellent in midfield, Dura strong in defence. Nine games unbeaten.
Wed Jan 23 home Sydney FC loss 0 1   Personel changes didn't gel. Very windy. Non-penalty against Fenton hand ball. Siem De Jong injured in scoring the goal. Subs helped in second half with Singh and Williams making a difference. Late penalty for hand ball. Ball rolling off the spot in the wind. Krishna poor shot saved. Taylor blocking shots body on the line, Kurto off line superbly to make several stops. Unbeaten run ends.
Sat Jan 26 home Melbourne City win 1 0 Williams Great first half. Cacace ball across for Williams volley after 4 minutes. Could have had another three. Singh, Cacace, Rufer all good. Second half gave ball away, didn't press. Kurto in goal outstanding. Six top saves. Hung on.
Sat Feb 2 away Perth Glory loss 0 3   Durante suspended, Taylor ill, Mandi's wife about to give birth... Williams hit the bar in the first attack, but Perth too strong. Antony Golec debut. Rufer, Kurto and Cacace our best players.
Thurs Feb 7 away Newcastle Jets draw 1 1 Williams Nix dominate, then Jets score goal late first half. Hard fought, cards, Oli Sail in goal made some great saves, as did ex-Nix Mossy in goal for Jets. Fenton to Willow scored, Fenton earned late pen but Moss saved Krishna's hit with his foot.
Fri Feb 15 home Melbourne Victory draw 1 1 Krishna 23,000 at Eden Park. Good battle, both teams had their chances. The excellent Cacace leaving Honda lying on the ground in one run down the line. Kurto a couple of fine saves.
Sat Feb 23 home Sydney FC loss 0 1   Home venue: Campbelltown NSW!! Poor crowd of 5000. Taylor out, Fox comes in and get injured by Dura while trying to block a shot. Williams close. Brosque comes on and is felled by Kurto. Penalty.
Sat Mar 9 away Central Coast Mrnr win 8 2 Krishna (2), Singh (2), Williams, Fenton, L. Cacace, O.G. Wow, club record score sees CCM coach Mike Mulvey sacked. 4 - 0 half time. Krishna on fire, Mandi great switches of play. Burgess centre midfield (Rufer suspended). Singh two goals and two assists. Libby's first goal. Debuts for subs Callan Elliot and Gianni Stensness.
Sun Mar 17 home Western Sydney win 3 1 Krishna, Mandi, Williams Tribute to the 50 people murdered in the Christchurch terrorist attack on Friday. Krishna gets behind the fullback and buries past the keeper. Mandi bends a great free kick around the wall. Williams curls another one into the top corner. Burgess doing a great job as attacking mid with Singh suspended. Disjointed second half. VAR awards a penalty to WSW but it goes wide. In injury time Roy gets second yellow card for swinging his arm back.
Sat Mar 30 home Newcastle Jets win 4 1 Williams (3), Singh Roy suspended, Taylor and Kopa out injured. Willow scores after 30 seconds. Jets dominate rest of first half. Fenton off with suspected broken foot. VAR penalty (Williams earned and scored). Jets pull one back. Williams again a glorious high curling shot. Singh picks his spot. Ben Waine debut. Crowd 9000. Mandi pulled the strings. Lowry did well in defence.
Sun Apr 7 away Adelaide Utd loss 1 3 C. Sheridan Poor first 35 minutes. Down 3 - 0. Adelaide striker sent off for studs up on Mandi. Nix all second half pressure. Mandi shot hit post, Sheridan breaks his duck with tap in. Williams shooting over the bar.
Fri Apr 12 away Brisbane Roar loss 1 2 Taylor Gully debut. Roar played on counter attack and scored twice in first half. Poor defending. Taylor thumping header from a corner. Sheridan hit post, Williams missed open goal. Lots of rumours about coach Rudan leaving.
Sun Apr 21 home Melbourne City win 3 2 Krishna (3) Rudan confirmed leaving. Krishna first hat trick, highest Nix scorer in a season. City controlled a lot of the game, Roy's winner in 94th minute. Kurto good saves. Burgess making impact. Williams playing right wing back.
Sun Apr 28 away Perth Glory loss 0 5   Quite a few players rested for the play offs. Oli Sail pulled off some good saves in goal. Steven Taylor captain. 17 year old Ben Waine went close twice. Krishna confirmed as the A League's Golden Boot.
Fri May 3 away Melbourne Victory loss 1 3 Krishna Finals play off game, 6th v 3rd. Pressed hard and dominated first half. Against run of play Melb scored from a debatable free kick. Goal after soft Mandi backpass after half time. Singh subbed on, great cross to Roy who steered it home for a nice goal. Pushed forward and caught out. Ufuk Talay named as new coach.
