July 31 Taupo v Plains Rangers women

Epic is the only word that comes to mind.
Us girls meet up at 10am in Edgecumbe and hit the road in a convoy. We had agreed we wouldn't start drinking till Rotorua, however turns out rules were made to be broken. Before we hit the Rotoma's, only 13 minutes into our road trip Maria and Kelly had managed to down a bottle of wine. Donna and Renee were in fine form also, putting away cider and a box of KGB's. Beers and gin were also on the menu for Kylie who was limited to her intake, as she was sober driver... or sucker!!

Arriving in Rotorua we meet up with the other girls at "the pig n whistle" for lunch and drinks. Then decided to head out to ngongataha to surprise the rangers mens team. With our loud intoxicated screaming and cheering on the side line, im sure the boys will want us at every game. A ngongataha supporter was so impressed, he came stood next to us and invited us to a party. He was taken by Maria who was feeling very stalked by him, and we declined the invitation. As All Maria and Kylie wanted to do was hug the hot chillian... but were out of luck.
After the game we had to hit the road in a hurry as we were in desperate need of more alcohol. WE WERE DRY!!

An awesome drive singing and drinking, and then we were at the back packers Taupo Urban retreat in Taupo... checking in!! Yay Kylie could catch up on the drinks!

On arrival we were all told by staff at the backpackers we were not to take our own alcohol into our room (as it was a licensed premises and they sold alcohol there), So us girls thought we were sneaky, sneaking our booze in within our luggage.
A few drinks were had in our room, while girls got ready and then our taxi arrived and it was time to go.

John (manager from Taupo soccer) paid for our taxi's to the Taupo soccer club. He wanted us to go there for drinks first as there was a 21st there on the night. Well no wonder he wanted us to go, as there were only 8 people at the party. Not to worry.. us girls got the music going. On arrival John Shouted us our first round of drinks, and gave us all compulsory shots. The Taupo captain (who we nick named Sha nay nay) decided she loved our team spirit and signed a contract to join our team. Kylie had the evidence in her bra all night... it got mangled. More taxi's were on there way to pick us up and a few of the Taupo girls to head out to town. More compulsory shots were had on departure and we were off in the taxi's to town.

Taupo night life was great. We all had an amazing night out. We all danced our hearts out, Donna attracted a Taiwan man that was dancing with us.. Man he could move! Pia got up and sung with the band, Kayla was hugging everyone in sight, Kylie rode a gay man like he was a bull. She thought she was in broke back mountain! Kelly and Hayley got banned from buying any more alcohol at midnight, due to Kelly smashing two shots in a row, dropping them on the floor before they reached her mouth.
Esther and Kylie were the last to get home at 3.30am, staying out and parting with the Taupo captain.

In the morning Kylie woke at 6.30am to find a note addressed to "Kylie and friends, you were told on arrival you were NOT to bring your own alcohol into the rooms. Please remove all empty bottles or your credit card will be charged".
Well that was a funny wake up call after an awesome night out!!

So we got up and got out of there. But not before a couple of the girls spewed in the bathroom.
We found an awesome cafe "Body soul" where we had breakfast and bumped into the Taiwan dancer from the night before... who then insisted on having photo's with us girls. All the staff felt sorry for us girls and gave us free energy drinks to help us get through the day. Not that they helped. Kylie had more beer with her breakfast, Kelly, Hayley and Kayla were to unwell to eat.

Arriving at the soccer field all us girls couldn't believe we were actually going to play... but play we did.
Kylie got a sniper award for falling flat on her face twice (a chucky doll with missing arms hanging on a rope).

I was going to exit this novella with just one line saying the score, but that would not do the girls justice. They played unbelievably well for entities resembling some sort of human beings, there was some good football but largely great defence, Kayla managed player of the day for some hearty defence, Kelly got her second wind, but it must have been too strong cause it blew away shortly after the whistle; Hayley played well along the wing linking up with Maria well and Esther had a faceplanting blinder in the goal, all in all well done girls.
